Winter Sport Getaways

In addition to snowshoeing, cross-country and downhill skiing, we offer a number of winter sport activities.

Snowmobiling

Go snowmobiling in the heart of New Hampshire’s White Mountains. For guests with their own sleds, we’re less than two miles from the H Corridor (and four miles to Franconia Notch!) and have plenty of parking for sleds and trailers. For those who’d like to rent, we’ve arranged for some of the area’s top outfitters to offer our guests a special snowmobile rental rate for 1, 2, or 3 hour tours, either accompanied or on your own. A great way to explore the notch!

Or take advantage of our snowmobile vacation package: Fly through the woods on a two-hour snowmobiling guided tour with Alpine Adventures Snowmobiling, receive a $50 dining certificate for either of our fine restaurants, and enjoy free trail passes and rentals for two at the Sunset Hill Nordic Center. Our innkeeper will also prepare a complimentary gift basket filled with New Hampshire goodies and winter essentials. Just $469 for a queen room, with a full breakfast every morning.

Tubing, Ice Skating and Sleigh Rides

Sleigh rides, tubing and ice skating are fun for all ages!

Sunset Hill’s ice skating rink with pristine mountain views is open whenever our guests wish to use it. All nearby mountains offer tubing parks (some into the evening hours) and sleigh rides are available right down the hill, just one mile away.
