"If you’re seeking beautiful scenery, excellent dining options, total sleeping comfort with the options to do something or nothing at all, look no further than the Sunset Hill House. The staff are so friendly and cater to your whim. Recommend room 310 with beautiful views, gas fireplace and 2 person Jacuzzi. In the dining room try the rack of lamb and don’t skip dessert because the chocolate butternut sauce over ice cream is vabulous! And Wine – wow! The list is endless."

"This cozy hideout in the mountains has it all. It’s easy to get to but once your’re there you feel a million miles away. It’s on a hilltop with views of hills and mountains in every direction. There’s a golf course, restaurant and bicycles which you can take into the little village. The innkeepers make you feel like family and the scrumptious breakfast is heavenly. It’s a place to visit again and again with something to offer each season. "

"Our second trip to the Sunset Hill House and we love it! The staff is wonderful and caters to your every need. The food is amazing – dine in the main dining room at least once! Sugar maple spa is a great option for a massage. You feel like you’re worlds away. "

"I have visited numerous inns and innkeepers in my 10 years as a travel writer but have to admit that few have impressed me as much as yours and you did."

"This was our first stay at the Sunset and from the second we set foot in the door, every little detail was a perfect as could be. We now understand why people make this their hide-away. "

"Crisp weather, awesome color, and lovely, friendly people! "
Guests from South Carolina, Fall 2010

"The Inn was exactly as we hoped it would be. You were perfect Hosts. We felt very welcome. Our room was warm, inviting and comfortable. The views, of course, were spectacular. We thought the scented soaps were a very nice touch, along with the Room Moose. The restaurant was top class. We enjoyed our two dinners there immensely. We also thought that you put on a fantastic breakfast. We both loved the Blueberry French Toast. The two written tours are a great idea. We took both of them, though we cut a few corners! I really cannot think of anything we were disappointed with. "

"By far the most spectacular place ever! The meals, the rooms, the views and the comfortable atmosphere all make this worthy of being a repeat destination. This last time we woke up at 2:00 a.m. to witness (from bed) a huge orange half moon rising over Mt. Lafayette. Visiting the Sunset Hill House will certainly be a life long tradition for the both of us!! "

"Great hospitality!"

"Your Inn is the most “homey” place I have ever stayed in. I am very “country” oriented and would love to live in your area. We stayed in room 307 - beautiful, comfortable, and relaxing!!! The Tavern was cozy and we had delicious food. Love the view at breakfast, also a nice meal. We had an emergency at home which disrupted our night and your staff could not have been more helpful! With the room, the staff, the food and that handsome little cat I can’t say enough good things about your Inn; and will be sure to tell everyone I know! "
Karen, guest

"We visited your inn last Oct. for our 25 wedding anniversary. Although we just had dinner there, I wanted you to know how much we enjoyed our visit. The food was wonderful, and everyone was so nice. We had a beautiful view of a full moon rising over the mountains as we enjoyed our gourmet dinner. Nancy is a marvelous host. We hope someday soon we will be able to return to your inn and visit again. Thanks for a great memory. "

"From reservation to registration to accommodation, our experience has been outstanding! A feast for the senses, we have enjoyed breathtaking views, delicious food, wonderful service, and a cozy, beautifully appointed room. "

"Coming back 8 years after our first visit, the Sunset Hill House was as wonderful as we remembered. The views of the Franconia Ridge Mountains and Presidential Ranges at breakfast and dinner from the huge picture windows in the dinging room while having terrific 5 star (can you have more than 5?) dining and service is a treat for the soul. Hiking, walking, golf, and local trekking of the lovey Sugar Hill area makes for a great day. And the cozy, comfortable, carefully appointed rooms in the historic Inn help transport yourself from an ordinary world to a calm and smiling state of arrival."

"We would like to thank you, Lon and your wonderful staff for everything you did for us on the occasion of Peter and Jessica's wedding on the weekend of October 23. Things went smoothly the whole weekend thanks to all of you. Even the weather cooperated! You have a lovely place there at Sunset Hill - the views are just magnificent. All our family and friends had a great time and we have had so many nice comments. We appreciate all you did to make it such a special weekend for us!"

"If I could have changed one thing aboyt my stay at the Sunwet Hill House, it would have been to make it longer. Everything was perfect, lovely, and relaxed, while the staff were constantly helpful and made sure that every single request we had was taken care of. I will be coming here again and again!"
