Breakfast Menu
Our breakfast menu varies every day, depending on what is fresh and seasonal.
We offer a buffet to get you started, as well as a full grill menu. Though these change, they usually include
Buffet
Assorted homebaked muffins (baked every day) or other pastry
Fresh sliced seasonal fruits
Stonyfield Farms Yogurt (made in NH)
Toast station – assorted breads, bagels, English muffins, jams, NH honey, peanut butter, cream cheese
Almond Granola
Beverages
Assorted Juices
NH Coffee Roasters Coffee (made in NH and available in our gift shop)
Local dairy milk from happy cows
From the Grill
Eggs any style
Yup, we can poach them. We even got an order for poached with no yolk once… Over any way you like. Scrambled. Sunny. Sometimes the eggs come from the innkeeper’s own chickens (depends on time of year, number of guests, and the chicken’s mood…)
Omelet of the day
We pretty much always have onion and cheese available. Then we’ll add in seasonal vegetable or meat of shellfish (Innkeeper Nancy loves lobster omelets). Your server will tell you the daily specials.
Maple cream cheese stuffed French toast on homemade cinnamon swirl bread
While Rodney is baking muffins, he makes us loaves of cinnamon swirl bread, too. We sweeten cream cheese with real NH maple syrup, slice the bread really thick, stuff it well, and soak it in a cinnamon maple scented egg batter. We serve this topped with candied pecans, a big strawberry, and more maple syrup. This is available most days.
Plain cinnamon swirl French toast
Just like the above, but no stuffing. Just as tasty, but not as fun!
Pancakes
Buttermilk. Whole Grain. Gluten Free. Blueberry. Apple Cider donut. Almond. We mix this up, and it changes most every day. If you have a special request, let us know well in advance and we’ll do our best for you. We almost always have gluten free – just ask. Our gluten free pancakes come from the famous Pollys Pancake Parlor – just down the road. And we sell it in our gift shop.
Oatmeal
Real, old fashioned oatmeal. The kind that you have to cook for a while. With just a teeny tiny hint of cinnamon. Topped if you like with nuts, dried fruits and NH honey. If oatmeal can be luxurious, this is it.
Organic Hot Cereal from Bobs Red Mill
Even better. Mixed whole grains. Dried fruits. Local honey. Heavy cream. Heaven. Gluten Free, too!
Occasionally, Belgian waffles
These take forever to cook, and have to be done one at a time, so they are reserved for slow days. But they are good.
Thick sliced cob smoked bacon or really good turkey sausage.
Oven roasted home fries with our special seasoning.
Special orders
Everything we do is made in house. Special orders are easy to accommodate but please let us know in advance if you possibly can. Last minute special orders risk us not having the ingredient on hand, or not having it prepared – and on busy days that can just gum up the whole works, turning the innkeeper into a raving, knife wielding lunatic. Please let us know in advance if you possibly can to avoid death of our wonderful waitstaff.
